This is a '76 335 with a 3pcs maple neck and coil tap switch!

The PU is "Super Humbucking" filled with epoxy. The PU is an epoxy-filled "super humbucking" PU with what is known as a "tar-back" in the original design. A coil tap switch for the front PU is installed at the tip of the cutaway, which is unique to this period, and allows for cool cutting. The pegs are original "Gibson Deluxe" with 2 knobs. Blanco tailpiece has been replaced with a stop tailpiece, which was common in those days. The nut has been replaced.

There are scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dents on the body. The pickguard is generally cloudy and has picking scratches. There is a thin layer of paint fogging around the entire perimeter of the body, which is typical of vintage guitars. There are scratches on the cutaway on the top 6-string side of the body. There are fine scratches and line scratches near the coil tap switch and jack. There are dots of rice-sized dents on the lower left side of the body top, and there is a line scratch by the F hole on the 6th string side. There is a line scratch on the left neck of the bodyside and a rice grain sized paint burn on the center of the body back. There are scratches and line scratches all over the outer body back. There is a small scratch on the lower left side of the head top. The plating on all hardware has deteriorated, but is in good condition considering the age of the instrument. The label inside the body, which is usually present, is missing.

The neck is in generally good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the tightening or loosening direction, and can still be turned and adjusted in the tightening direction. There are no string marks on the frets and about 50% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

There are some minor scratches and signs of use, but there is no noticeable damage and it is in good condition considering its age. The replacement of the stop tailpiece was common in those days, and there is no discomfort at all. The coil-tapped sound is excellent, and it was used to play soulful cutting in the back of idols of the time! Considering the recent surge in the price of vintage guitars, the price hurdle is low, and we highly recommend this guitar to be chosen by young players!

Neck condition is fine.
The truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust.
Only about 50% frets left.

76年製、コイルタップスイッチを搭載したメイプルネック3pcs期の335!

ヴォリュート付きメイプル3pcsネック、ナット幅は約40mmとなっておりこの時期の335としてサウンドとともに特徴付けております。PUはエポキシが充填された『スーパーハムバッキング』。いわゆる『タールバック』といわれるものをオリジナルで搭載。またこの時期特有のカッタウェイ先端部分にフロントPUのコイルタップスイッチを搭載しており、クールなカッティングも可能としております。ペグは2コブの『Gibson Deluxe』がオリジナルで搭載されております。当時よく見られた、ブランコテールピースからストップテールピースへの交換がされております。ナットが交換されております。

ボディには拭きキズ、スリキズ、線キズ、打痕があります。ピックガードには全体的に曇った感じでピッキングキズがあります。ボディ外周全体的に薄っすらとヴィンテージギターらしく塗装の曇りがあります。ボディトップ6弦側カッタウェイ部分にはスリキズがあり、コイルタップSWやジャック付近には細かい感じでスリキズ・線キズがあります。ボディトップ左下には米粒大の打痕が点々とあり、6弦側Fホール脇には線キズがあります。ボデサイド左クビレ部分には線キズがあり、ボディバック中央には米粒大の塗装焼けがあります。ボディバック外周部分には全体的にスリキズ・線キズがあります。ヘッドトップ左下には小さな当てキズが点々とあります。各ハードウェアにはメッキの劣化がありますが年式を考えると良好な状態です。通常あるボディ内部のラベルが喪失しております。

ネックコンディションは概ね問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能で、締める方向にまだ回せ調整可能です。フレットには弦跡等は無く残りは5割程です。現状弦高は12F6弦側で約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.5mmで調整されております。

全体的に細かいスリキズや使用感はあるものの目立つダメージ等はなく年式を考えると良好なコンディションです。ストップテールピースへの交換も当時よく見られたもので、違和感は全くありません。コイルタップサウンドも秀逸で、当時のアイドルのバックでソウルフルなカッティングを聞かせてくれました!昨今のヴィンテージギターの高騰から考えると価格的ハードルは低めとなっており、是非とも若いプレイヤーに御選び頂きたいオススメの一本となっております!
